When I picked Secrets of a Kept Woman up off a stack of books I needed to read and review, I was already familiar with the writing of Author/Publisher Shani Greene-Dowdell via two books written by her I had previously read. Therefore, I had the expectation that I was about to begin a ?good? read. However, I was much unprepared for just how GOOD of a read I was in store for! From the first page, Secrets of a Kept Woman caught my attention with the candid conversation between two best friends and, by the end of the first chapter; I just could not put this book down! The webs of deceit, lies, romance, abuse, small victories and chaos being spun in the lives of 3 friends, turned into a story of emotional, financial and Spiritual triumph for me! Mrs. Greene-Dowdell does an amazing job of taking the lives of ordinary women and transforming them into an incredible read! BRAVO! I can?t wait for the next novel!!
